Coming Soon

A military flight simulator built for the golden age of the joystick.

Early Development

Back to the cockpits of the early 90s

Viper Vector is a work-in-progress military flight simulator built in Godot 4, made in the spirit of early-to-mid-1990s combat sims — think Fleet Defender, Strike Commander, and Falcon 3.0. Low-poly jets, flat-shaded terrain, hazy horizons, and HUD symbology that gets out of your way — a look and feel we're building deliberately, not simulating by accident.

We're not chasing photorealism, and we're not chasing a hardcore study-sim checklist either. The goal is a survey simulator: credible enough to respect the era, accessible enough to fly with a joystick or gamepad and actually enjoy. Weapons, AI, missions, campaigns, and a mission editor are all on the roadmap — but they're not what we're showing today. Right now, this is about the airframe, the flight model, and the world around it.

What we're building

A flight model with weight

Energy management and momentum that feel like an era-appropriate jet, not an arcade glider — accessible on a stick, honest under the hood.

Clean, readable cockpits

Minimalist HUD symbology and uncluttered instrument panels in the Falcon 3.0 tradition — legibility first, nostalgia second.

Terrain built for silhouettes

Simplified geometry, distant hazy horizons, and flat/Gouraud-style shading — a world that reads clearly at speed, in the visual language of early texture-mapped 3D.
